Everything you need to know about the paperwork for donating your car in OH.
When you donate your vehicle, signing the title is the first step in the transfer process. In Ohio, you should sign the back of the title in the designated area. Notarization is not required, but you should provide any lien release if necessary. To notify the Ohio Department of Public Safety of the transfer, you can either submit the information online or mail it in.
If you've lost the title, you can apply for a duplicate through the Ohio DMV. If a lien holder is involved, you'll need to resolve that before the donation. Ultimately, Steel Wheels will assist you in following through with the necessary processes.
